The evolving industry of output media has a large and positive impact on the design and creation of graphic images due to the simple fact that it improves the overall quality of the final product. Evolving output media such as high DPI printers and 1080p HDMI televisions make images a lot more life like and clear but this is only due to the increase in power of computer devices (PCs, laptops, phones etc )that are required to drive those displays. Modern colour laser printers, laser plotters or rapid prototype printers that can produce 3D output are all evolving output media which have had a positive impact on the design and creation of graphic images. Output media has always been one step ahead of its time due to the vast improving quality of video games being produced and the hardware needed to display them. Printers have evolved a lot, a standard printer wouldn't cost you any more than around £50 however a modern, state of the art technology printer which incorporates all of the latest features such as a fax machine, scanner, colour copier, black and white copier along with a large host of tools such as colour correction and photo like printing would cost you anywhere in the region of around £100+. these kind of printers have a huge impact on the graphics industry as people are able to print high quality pictures or even photos in the comfort of there own home for a reasonably low price. However if you were in search of an industry standard graphic printer with capabilities of print very large images at a very high quality then you would find a dramatic price increase. The option to produce to the perfect graphic image via output media is endless as long as you are willing to pay the price. If you were to invest in the best graphic printer money could buy for domestic use only then you would not reap the benefits of purchasing it, however it would be wise if you were to buy one for a professional use.

Other forms of evolving output media include technologies such as mobile phones and web pages which display static images unlike those present in video games and television. When producing images which will be uploaded to a web page, size, quality and the type of website needs to be taken into consideration. For example if they website is selling expensive goods such as jewelry then it would need to look very professional and contain high quality images. It is easy to distinguish the quality of a website, layout, design and image quality are all of high importance and would be present in a professional website. Videos and animations may also be present and are becoming a lot more common. Due to this, computer specification requirements have increased to deal with this evolution of output media.
